I'm K N Anantha Nandanan — a software engineer focused on scalable backend systems and applying AI to real problems. I've spent the last few years working across Django, FastAPI, and LangChain — most recently on QuestCraft, an LLM-powered assessment platform for teachers.

Before that, I worked on infrastructure, DevOps, and self-hosted tooling — the kind of work that keeps everything else running. I care about systems that are legible, observable, and honest about their failure modes.

When I'm not building, I write about what I'm learning here. I believe in small, sharp tools, slow reading, and shipping things that actually work. Outside of tech, I enjoy reading novels and listening to music.

03Ship early, learn constantly. Real users will always teach you things your test suite never will.
